This is the website of the Indian Valley Associates, a neighborhood association to advise the County of Marin on concerns of this small, yet significant unincorporated community. We are west of the City of Novato and largely rural with ranches and farms (and carriage rides).

We have our own Indian Valley Specific Plan, an adjunct to Marin’s Countywide Plan, and we act as stewards for the magnificent Open Space surrounding our area. We also manage our regional fire risk, road safety and design review.  Our district (5) is currently under the jurisdiction of Supervisor Judy Arnold.

Among other things, indianvalleyhome.org tracks the official business of our association, so it is available to our county government officials, as well as our residents. For social issues or announcements you can check out https://indianvalley.nextdoor.com and, if you haven’t already, sign up for membership with NextDoor.

New Announcements:

2021 CHIPPER DAYS – June 21 and September 20.  See the Firewise page for requirements details and how to register for Chipper Days.

Seconds can make the difference – the last thing you need are emergency responders struggling to find you.  Get your BLUE address sign to keep that from happening.

https://www.wildfiresign.com/sales-page-34529484    Cost $47 and well worth it in case of an emergency.

Regular board meeting dates are on the Calendar.

Chipper Days has changed this year – see the “Firewise” page in this website for information.

If you want to know who your block captain is or if you want to serve as a block captain, also see the “Firewise” page.

The September 2020 Annual Meeting was cancelled due to COVID-19 – Health & Safety.

Correction to the 2020 Newsletter – Nancy Niche designed this wonderful website.  The newsletter incorrectly gave credit to Craig Knowlton – Craig has maintained the site for several years however; it was Nancy’s talent that gave us this website – thank you Nancy!
